First off, let me state that no, I do not plan on making an entry every day. I don't have time for that and it would be more boring than watching the paint dry on a deptiction of grass growing.
Back to the entry, however. Today was move-in day at RIT for incoming freshmen and, as I expected, it was pretty much a three-ring circus.I got all my stuff into the room pretty quickly though, and decided to worry about unpacking later. I met my room mate, Kevin. He's from Iowa and seems pretty chill. When I packed, I decided to pack lightly which is definitely a good thing because now I have lots of storage space for shit that I will undoubtably accumulate throughout the year. Also, it made unpacking a breeze.
I'm on an all-male floor with co-ed floors above and below me. I don't really mind though because I have my beloved Ashley at Syracuse so it should keep any temptations at bay ;). The two RAs for this floor also seem pretty cool and relaxed (and one is right next to our room, on my side even!), so that's a good thing. Speaking of Ashley, we have tentative plans for me to go visit her in late September, so I'm definitely pumped for that.
At our floor meeting, I found that a lot of people snowboard as well, so hopefully I can score tons of rides to the mountain every weekend. Man, I can so not wait for snow; winter can not come fast enough. I also learned about a bunch of the gay shit we have to do all week (orientation-wise) that I am definitely NOT looking forward to, but I guess I don't have a choice.
I am insanely hungry right now, but I can't be arsed to go get food so I guess I will wait until morning and let my stomach feast on its own lining until then.
